Jivebay is exclusively for students currently enrolled in recognized Nigerian tertiary institutions.

• All users must provide a valid institutional ID or admission letter for verification.
• Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
• Falsification of student status will lead to immediate and permanent account termination.

To ensure safety, Jivebay manages all financial transactions through a secure escrow system.

• Escrow Protection: Payments are held by Jivebay and only released to sellers/service providers after the buyer confirms receipt.
• Service Fees: A nominal platform fee is applied to every transaction to maintain infrastructure and security.
• Withdrawals: Sellers can withdraw their earnings to a Nigerian bank account once the transaction is marked as completed.

Users offering services or listing accommodation must adhere to specific quality standards.

• Service Delivery: Service providers must fulfill bookings within the agreed timeframe.
• Accommodation Accuracy: Listings must represent the actual condition of the hostel or room. Misleading photos or descriptions are strictly prohibited.
• Direct Deals: Bypassing the platform to conduct "off-platform" transactions for listed services or housing is a violation of these terms.

Brand Stores are premium accounts for established student businesses.

• Subscriptions: Brand Stores require an active subscription plan (Starter, Growth, or Enterprise).
• Brand Identity: Brands must use original logos and banners. Impersonating existing brands is prohibited.
• Compliance: Brand owners are responsible for the quality and legality of all products listed under their storefront.

All physical product exchanges must go through our verified Logistics Agents.

• Pickup Codes: Buyers must present their unique Pickup Code to the agent to collect an item.
• Inspection: Buyers have the right to inspect items at the agent's location before releasing the code.
• Agent Role: Logistics Agents are neutral facilitators and are not responsible for product quality, only for safe storage and handover.

The following are strictly prohibited on Jivebay:

• Illegal drugs, alcohol, or controlled substances.
• Weapons, ammunition, or dangerous chemicals.
• Stolen goods or academic fraud materials (e.g., assignment help).
• Harassment, hate speech, or fraudulent schemes.
